We have been breeding and exhibiting dogs for over 35 years now and during that time Christine has held a dog judging license in New Zealand and also Australia. We both first started out in Dobermanns and have bred a number of Best in Show Winning Grand Champions, We have exported dogs throughout the world who have gone to to become champions in the following countries, USA, Canada, New Zealand. A huge achievement for such a small select kennel. We have also imported a number of dogs over the past years most notably the outstanding Dobermann sire: American Champion. Winmars American Gigolo Dassin (imported USA).Who has made a huge impact on our breed today with most of Aust/NZ's top winners being his children/grand children and in some cases great.G. children.

Roy has also been involved with Portuguese Water Dogs, infact bringing the first ever of this breed into the country,he has enjoyed great sucess with the breed both here, and in the USA and Canada. Now purely an exhibitor and no longer breeding. 
However he has left the breed in good hands and our good friend Rose Beaman (UPTREND KENNELS - Victoria) carries on the tradition of breeding quality, healthy dogs

In more recent times our love for the Westie ( West Highland White Terrier ) has taken over our home. And today they are the only dogs we breed here at Dassin. Our first ever Westie was imported from the famed Whitebriar Kennel. We have imported 2 males from Ireland over the past few years and will continue to import quality specimens into Australia to show and to improve the breed. Our dogs are happy, healthy Westies who enjoy great longevity.
